WAXING

PRE-CARE:

HAIR GROWTH
Approximately 2 weeks after shaving or epilating

TRIM
It is recommended to trim your hair to the 'length of a grain of rice'

EXFOLIATE
For a more thorough and painless wax

NUMBING CREAM
Use to help you get through your first waxing experience or if you are feeling extra sensitive. Arrive to your appointment 30-40 minutes before, and apply Zensa Numbing Cream, which can be purchased at any WAXON location!

WAXING CONTRAINDICATIONS
Consult your doctor before having waxing services if you have:
• Diabetes
• Hemophilia
• Contagious Skin Conditions
• Accutane / Retinol / Chemical Exfoliants
• Blood Thinners

AFTER CARE:

DON’T

• Go into the sun or use tanning beds, have sex or exercise for 24 hours
• Use steam rooms / saunas or anything heat related for 24 hours
• Wear overly tight panties or clothing; the friction can cause sensitivities

DO

• Use South AHA/PHA Ingrown Hair Serum daily for ingrown prevention and calmed skin
• After 24 hours, exfoliate gently and often to prevent ingrown hairs
• Re-book your appointment in approximately 4-5 weeks

LASER

PRE-CARE:

WAXON POLICY
Unfortunately will not provide laser treatment to those trying to get pregnant, pregnant or nursing

NO WAXING OR TWEEZING
The areas being lasered cannot be waxed or tweezed at least 2-4 weeks before the appointment

AVOID
UV exposure, self-tanning and tan enhancers 2 weeks before the appointment

SHAVE THE NIGHT BEFORE
All areas being lasered (even the face) are to be shaved very clean and very close the night before the appointment

LASER CONTRAINDICATIONS
• Pregnancy and Breast Feeding
• Epilepsy
• Vitiligo
• Cancer - approximately 3-4 months after cancer treatment
• Accutane - off of for approximately 6-12 months
• Retin A - off of for approximately 2 weeks
• Recent chemical peels or laser resurfacing
• Antibiotics - off of for approximately 2 weeks
• Tattoos - can still perform laser hair removal, tattoo is avoided during treatment
• Lesions - can still perform laser hair removal, area is avoided during treatment
• Herpes - 1 + 2 must be fully healed and not active before starting treatment
• Botox / Filler - wait 2 weeks after procedure
• Recent waxing or tweezing

AFTER CARE:

DON’T

• Go into tanning beds, steam rooms, hot tubs, working out and swimming for 24 hours
• Go in chlorine for 1 week
• Apply makeup or perfume to the treated area for 24 hours
• Use any chemical exfoliants (eg. glycolic / salicylic) throughout your entire treatment

DO:

• Only shave during the course of your laser treatment period
• Wear SPF 45 or higher on treated skin for the entire treatment period
• After 48 hours, exfoliate gently with WAXON Citrus Mint Body Scrub

BROW AND LASH TINTING

PRE-CARE:

• Arrive to the appointment completely free of any eye makeup
• Remove contacts for safety, bring along contact case if needed

TINTING CONTRAINDICATIONS
• Conjunctivitis also known as Pink Eye
• Active Eye Infections
• Blepharoplasty - approximately 1 year after surgery
• Lasik Surgery - approximately 6 months after surgery
• Cancer - approximately 3-4 months after cancer treatment

AFTER CARE:

• Avoid touching / rubbing the eye area and make up for 12 hours after service
• Do not have a hot bath / shower or use a sauna, steam room or swimming pool for 24 hours
